
Ingredients
1 medium sized organic spaghetti squash, halved lengthwise and seeded
1 lb lean ground turkey
1 jar (32 oz) organic marinara sauce
1 can (15 oz) organic diced tomatoes (drained)
1 can (6 oz) organic tomato paste
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 tbsp onion powder
1 tbsp cayenne pepper (optional)
1 tsp black pepper
sea salt (to taste)
olive oil spray
Instructions
- preheat oven to 350 degrees
- spray cut sides of squash with olive oil and a little fresh cracked salt and pepper, then place cut sides down in a baking dish.
- bake 30-40 minutes in the preheated oven, or until a fork easily separates the spaghetti squash "noodles". remove squash from oven, and set aside to cool enough to be easily handled.
- meanwhile, in a large stockpot over medium heat, add marinara, diced tomatoes, tomato paste, and seasonings. let simmer.
- meanwhile, in a saucepan, cook ground turkey according to instructions, drain grease, add to stockpot tomato mixture, and reduce heat to low.
- once spaghetti squash is slightly cooled, use a fork to remove the insides of the squash and place in a medium bowl.
